AUSTIN, Texas – Four Hands, a designer of home furnishings, is adding a lineup of products with the launch of its Crafted in the USA collection at High Point Market.

The company has begun a collaboration with two manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Mississippi that enable Four Hands to expand its offerings with products that feature local materials and craftsmanship.

“One of our guiding principles is that we continually offer products that our customers absolutely fall in love with, and this means that we’re on a never-ending quest to lead with beautiful design, the finest craftsmanship and remarkable materials,” said Matthew Briggs, CEO. “The addition of domestic production strengthens the business with several benefits, which translate across who we are as a company and the experience that our customers have with our products.”

The introduction of U.S. manufacturing dials up the value proposition for Four Hands customers. “We’ve enlisted makers who are highly skilled in their craft, stemming from the storied traditions of American furniture making,” added Rick Lovegrove, president of upholstery for Four Hands. He added that the products will feature materials primarily sourced in the U.S., many within 50 miles of the manufacturers.

Four Hands will source a range of its products in the U.S., including fabrics and internal frames and mechanisms, as part of its move to domestic production, according to Lovegrove. The company notes that, in doing so, it will reduce lead times and enable the company to hew to its goal of a lower carbon footprint.

The inaugural Crafted in the USA collection will feature approximately 50 products with several launching at this week’s High Point Market. Four Hands will release three suites in this collection including the Delray five-piece sectional, the Hampton sofa and new chair selections. The company will also be re-launching its Wickham sofa bed with entirely U.S.-made mechanisms and materials.

Four Hands Crafted in the USA products will be available at its online Marketplace for retailers and interior designers starting April 18.
