Hey Beautiful Brides!

How many times have you heard people say “it’s all about the details” or “it’s the little things that matter”? We could not agree more when it comes to your wedding floral decor from top to bottom. It is all about the details!

We are not just talking about how important it is that your bridal bouquet enhances your bridal silhouette while pulling together your bridal ensemble, we are talking about ALL OF IT. Your ceremony setup, your aisle decor, your welcome table accents, your cake table floral decor, sweetheart table, bar area, reception table decor and more!

Fine tuning all of the details of each section of your wedding is what is going to provide a balanced and flawless finish to everything. Balance is key so finding the right amount of detail to add to each little section of your big day is half the battle!

Are you on the hunt to find your perfect wedding floral designer? Need some help along the way with what to look for? Click here and read all about the 5 Things To Consider When Hiring Your Wedding Florist!

Read on with us to learn about the finer details!

THINK ABOUT THIS

Interior designers and interior decorators are equally as important for a job they are assigned. While one lays the foundation and creates a space that is to be lived in and experienced, the other creates the atmosphere by placing items and different materials in the room to come together all in a strategic manner.

Based off of a certain aesthetic, vibe, mood, style (that the client is desiring), the interior decorator gets to work placing items and objects in the space that are all harmonious and cohesive to one another. Now some items may be small scale while others are a bit larger but this does not take away from the importance of each and every item placed in the room.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

When it comes to your wedding, it all matters. Your floral designer performs duties that are very similar to that of an interior designer and interior decorator just in a different setting all the while dealing with lots of florals and lots of mechanics. We are strategic about our placement of florals, our purpose for them and the way in which we create them.

Keep reading to learn the 5 Reasons Why The Floral Details For Your Wedding Matter!

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

It really is. No matter how big, how small, how wide, how deep, how tall, it is all in the details for your wedding florals.

Here are 5 reasons why the details matter

1. THE DETAILS…

CREATE A COHESIVE ATMOSPHERE

We talk all the time about balance being key and we really mean that. From your wedding ceremony location to your reception decor, having blooms that carry from one spot to another help satisfy the eye and feel like you are in a venue that is all connected. Maybe you have a wedding arch at the front of your ceremony filled with lush greenery and beautiful blush garden roses, incorporating little moments of floral bliss on your welcome table, welcome sign, aisle markers, etc., help to tie everything together.

2. THE DETAILS…

ENHANCE ITS SUBJECT

Your bridal bouquet is your number one accessory for your big day and we work to make sure it complements and enhances your bridal ensemble. In the same way, we design, build and create to enhance a blank canvas for a wedding ceremony as well as reception. Working to beautify a space and enhance its foundation and natural landscape is where the magic truly happens. You can take a plain as day venue and turn it into something so special just with the fine details!

3. THE DETAILS…

BRIGHTEN UP THE SPACE

Weddings are all about love, bliss, romance and happiness! Isn’t that exciting? Doesn’t that fill you up knowing you are getting to marry your best friend, surrounded by your favorite people? In the way that you are lit up on the inside on your big day, we want your space to reflect that and feel harmonious in that energy. Taking the time to understand your wants and needs as a bride is a part of our journey as your floral designers in creating a space that exudes love and happiness through the floral decor and installations.

4. THE DETAILS…

SHOW OFF PERSONALITY

Whether you are spunky, loud and more of an extrovert or a little bit more reserved, laid back and introverted, your floral decor can greatly reflect that and show off your personality and style. Your wedding guests love  you for YOU so don’t try to be anything you are not on your wedding day. Be confident but be YOU. Share with your floral designer your likes and dislikes, if you’re looking to add some more flare and zest that is out of your comfort zone, let your floral designer execute it in a way that is still true to you and honors your style. It can definitely be done with the right designer and careful planning.

5. THE DETAILS

PROVIDE ENJOYMENT

Sheer enjoyment and happiness is really all that matters for you and your partner on your big day. We want you to be overwhelmed with all of the love and support you are both feeling and receiving all while feeling accomplished and so happy with the turn out of your floral decor. This area of your wedding should be something you do not stress about on the day of or feel unsure of, when you find the right floral designer they bring your vision to life in a way that is tasteful, beautiful and well done!

NEXT STEPS

Wherever you are on your wedding planning journey, it is never too early to start talking about your wedding floral decor. This is such an important part of your wedding that we highly recommend you are intentional about. We want you to feel confident in your floral designers capabilities and plans so make sure you do your part on researching what you like, dislike, love and dream of! This will help your floral designer understand a little more about you and have a great base of knowledge to build upon. We would love to hear about your big day and all of the details you have planned so far!

When you think about your wedding, you mainly think about you two getting married and your guests having a great time, but there is SO much that goes into planning every inch of your wedding day! All of the little details matter, from the perfume you choose to wear to the color of the napkins or the style of calligraphy you pick for your seating chart (yep, there are endless hand-calligraphy styles)! You work so hard bringing this vision for your wedding day to life, and at some point, you may stop to think, “Well, what is the point?”

Here’s the thing – in the end, the day is about you two, your love story and the fact that all of your loved ones are together in one place to celebrate with you. So if the dusty rose macarons you ordered end up being a shade too dark, no, it’s really not the end of the world. But at the same time, there are so many fun and exciting reasons why you SHOULD focus on the minute details! I never want you to look back and regret overlooking something you truly do care about.

Here’s why wedding day details are important!

They Set the Tone for Your Day

I begin every wedding day by photographing all of the little details, from your invitation suite and rings to your flowers and shoes. I love creatively styling your details in a way that highlights all of the special touches and thoughtful choices that went into your planning. These are the photos that open up your wedding gallery and one day, your heirloom wedding album! They are the scene setters and the images that compliment the photos of you two getting ready in the morning. They’re the photos that you’ll look back on years from now and say, “I loved my heels so much, look at them shine!” or “I can still remember the way his cologne smelled,” when you see the bottle next to his bow tie and shoes in photos! These are sensory images that bring you back to your big day, time and time again.

They Show Off Your Personality

Your details are little hints and sneak peeks into who you two are. They’re the way you show off that you’re not just like any other couple, but that you’re uniquely YOU! Did you choose bold, colorful, and quirky invitations or soft, elegant, and timeless letterpress ones? Do your florals consist of organic, free-flowing wildflowers or chic peonies? Are you all about the handmade bowtie and suspenders or a unique maroon tux? Every little detail gives your guests insight into your style, vibe, and the vision you have for your day! It’s so fun to see it all come together, and being able to document it forever is like freezing time!

They Bring Others In!

If any guests, unfortunately, couldn’t make it to your wedding, they can relive it through images of every detail! I put a lot of effort and focus into your details in the morning, but I’m also always photographing details throughout the day! For example, your ceremony arbor overlooking the lake or the loose florals draped over your reception tables that sit under the twinkle lights. Even little details like those boho-chic centerpieces and funky menus are super important for capturing the feel of the day in photos! My goal is to capture every detail I spot, from the signage to the dessert table, in order to help you retell the story of your day whether a guest could make it or not!

They Can Get You Published!

Although it’s not the MOST important part of a wedding day, it’s still SUPER exciting when your wedding gets published! They can be featured on a wedding blog or in a printed magazine! These types of publications are meant for inspiring couples who are planning their big day, so weddings with tons of unique, thoughtful, and eccentric details are always what they are looking for! Putting a ton of effort into creating a cohesive, well-styled day could mean getting published in your fave magazine! And how freaking cool would that be?!

I hope that these reasons help you understand how well-designed and interesting details can help spice up your wedding day! In the end, the most important thing is simply that you’re getting married! So, maybe foregoing all the details and eloping on a mountaintop is your jam, and I’m so down for that! However, I know we fall in love with wedding planning because you’re able to design and customize every last detail! If that’s you, there’s no better time to run wild and make it entirely your own than now!
